Delouvrier pavilion – la Villette Park

Located in the middle of la Villette Park, this contemporary building combines charm with practicality, and with a natural light and the opening on green ways.

Restored in 2011, Arkheia participated in renovation work, as a supplier of canopies in ultra high-performance concrete / aspect marble .

This material especially formulated for La Villette Park, met the quality requirements of the technical specifications defined by the client.

We used Very High Performance Arkheia which is a fibred concrete, of Ultra High Performance Concrete family, made up of Lafarge 52.5 white cement or Calcia, flux additive, pigment and marble dust. These components offer compressive strength higher than 100 MPa. This concrete has a very weak shrinkage and is integraly coloured. The sand granulometry is weak, so the interior and exterior of the moulded piece are exactly the same. That is why, concrete can be revised (polished or sandblasted...).

Steps of the manufacture project

• Validation of the shade and formulation of concretes – Marble & White Cement
   
• Manufacture of specific moulds

• Manufacure and positioning of reinforcement systems 

• Manufacture of the elements 

• Humid cure of the elements during 28 days

• Application of a protective product

• Delivery
