La Garenne Lemont (a listed building) was born out of a dream inspired by an artist in love with Italy. Seduced by the picturesque landscape on the edge of the river Sèvre and with help from important figures in the wold of the arts, in particular the Cacault brothers, the sculptor François-Frédéric Lemont (1771-1827), with the neoclassical architect Mathurin Crucy (1749-1826), created, in Clisson, at the start of the XIX century, their ideal Italian landscape and architecture.

La GARENNE Lemont, is situated in Gétigné Town, nowadays it is a Loire-Atlantique Department property.
